Logic & Rhetoric

(Coming in 2029 & 2033)
Deo Volente

The Logic stage (5th through 8th Grade) teaches students to think with precision and clarity. Building on the grammar of each subject, students learn formal and informal logic, argumentation, and the connections between ideas across history, science, math, and literature. At this age, a student's natural PASSION for discovery, conviction, and meaningful questions is becoming increasingly evident, and the Logic stage seeks to foster and direct that passion toward the life of the mind and the cultivation of right affections for what is true, good, and beautiful.

The Rhetoric stage (9th through 12th Grade) equips students to speak and write with wisdom, eloquence, and conviction. Students synthesize their years of grammar and logic training, engaging great works and ideas across disciplines and learning to persuade and lead with virtue. At this age, a student's natural desire to go deeper—to wrestle with profound questions, pursue meaningful ideas, and understand the world with greater DEPTH and wisdom—is increasingly evident. The Rhetoric stage seeks to cultivate that depth, preparing students to articulate and defend what is true, good, and beautiful with wisdom, conviction, and grace.
